Psalm 133:1

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psalm 133:1

David had it correct when he talked about the joy of the brethren being unified. Believers might not agree on every point in life, but we should be together when it comes to understanding the things of God.

One of the worst things we can do for the Christian faith is when believers are publicly battling each other. I'm not saying we're not going to have disagreements on minor issues, but there has to be an acknowledgement that even if we can't see together on everything, we're still going to remain brothers and sisters in Christ.

Jesus said the harvest is white and the laborers are few and the laborers get fewer when they're spending their time against each other instead of spreading the Gospel. If you find yourself spending too much time in disagreement with your fellow believers, remember this verse and how good and pleasant unity is. In Proverbs, one of things the Lord hates is division. May we instead focus on the big picture, strengthening each other in our Christian walks, and bringing others to Christ.

Fellowshipping with my Christian family,

Pastor Ron Kitchell
