Genesis 40:6-7

And Joseph came in to them in the morning and looked at them, and saw that they were sad. So he asked Pharaoh's officers who were with him in the custody of his lord's house, saying, "Why do you look so sad today?"
Genesis 40:6-7

At this point in Joseph's life, he had been sold into slavery, falsely accused, and throw into prison. He had every reason to be bitter and selfish. Instead he chose to trust the Lord and keep his heart open to the things God might send his way. When Pharaoh's butler and baker (who had also been thrown into prison) had disturbing dreams through the night, Joseph noticed their sad expression and asked a simple question, "What's up?" They told him the dreams and, through God's intervention, he was able to interpret them.

Are we willing to have Joseph's attitude no matter what our circumstances may be? Are we willing to be a part of God's answer for someone else? Be a Joseph for someone today.

Looking for divine appointments,

Pastor Gerard Deleeuw
