Ezekiel 34:11-12

For thus says the Lord GOD: "Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day."
Ezekiel 34:11-12

As I read this, I can't help but imagine a shepherd that loves all his different kind of sheep. Some he finds in the sunshine. Some he finds under the cleft of the rock because they are scared. Some he finds on the darkest cloudiest day imaginable.

This is the wonderful love that God has for you, for me, and for the world. It doesn't matter where we are in life, God comes after us and pursues us. If you are in the sunshine and having the best time ever, God is there. If you are hiding under that cleft, frightened and terrified, God is there to comfort you. If you are in the deepest darkest place you have ever been, God is there waiting to restore and renew your soul. It is always a matter of turning to Him.
